This is my first (of many, I hope) patterns. I design a lot of my quilts but have never produced them into patterns… until now. Sean thinks I should write something about the whole process here but my brain is just dead and my house is a mess because I’ve spent the last week working on this constantly along with the all the quilts for my shop. So I really have nothing creative to say.

This colorful and whimsical quilt pattern features “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” fabric collection by Andover Fabrics, which captures the beautiful illustrations and characters from this classic Eric Carle children’s book. Highlighting the panels and incorporating the foods, numbers, and bright illustrations winding and weaving together in random directions, the quilt conveys the essence of the playful tale. The size is perfect for your lap, a crib, or to stretch out on the floor for an impromptu Caterpillar Play Time! Using straight lines and rectangular pieces, this quilt is straightforward to assemble, but the result looks anything but simple! Finished quilt measures 42 x 56 inches (107 x 142 cm).
