Look what followed me home…

Posted on by in Machines

A Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0.  It was released last week and arrived at the dealer this morning.  I had it home by lunch.  Can you say obsessed?

And as soon as I got it home it went on the floor while I quilted with the Mega Quilter.  Maeve was not pleased with that decision.

So, how do you like the 4.0? I got to use one in a class this weekend. I found that piecing triangles with it to be frustrating. The quarter inch foot was on it and it just ate the fabric like no other. Have you had any issues with it? I am thinking of “investing” and want some honest feedback!

    Thanks,
    Kim

It does eat fabric but I think I may have found the problem/solution. I’m doing piecing tomorrow so I’ll report back.

Thank you! I tried using a leader piece, but I like to chain piece so that wore thin really fast….I found the only good way was to carefully butt the pieces one after the other…another pain…

Good luck! someone suggested I try a foot other than the 1/4 inch foot. But seriously? It is a quilting machine after all!
