This scrappy quilt takes dozens of fabrics, swirled and mixed together in a flock of whirlpools with just enough order and symmetry to look deliriously chaotic without being messy, and just abstract enough that as you gaze at it you start to see rosebuds, or fantastic clockwork, or ripples in an autumn pond. Though the quilt’s organic curves and interlocking random swirls look complex, in fact it is straightforward to construct once you get a handle on a few simple tricks. Finished quilt measures 44″ x 44″.
