So I was walking around Target this morning waiting on the Pharmacy and finding all sorts of things that we ‘needed’.  I was looking through the Christmas area and saw some really neat wrapping paper and then a second later I realized why I liked it so much.  It looks exactly like a Michael Miller print.

I don’t want to acuse Target of copying, but it seems as if they were slightly ‘inspired’ by the fabric (at least in my opinion, whatever that counts for).

I’ve got three big projects to start but with Halloween and Jane blocks tomorrow, I didn’t feel like dragging out all the fabrics for those tonight and then have to clean them all up tomorrow (and then pull them back out on Saturday) so I just started on some DJ blocks tonight.

So G-6 was on my list.  This is just the center of the block and still has 1/8″ seam allowances all around.  I’m not sure whose sanity to question – Jane for coming up with the block in the first place or me for making one of these crazy things…

It’s a little skewed but there are also 17 pieces in a 1″ square so I’m thinking some error is allowed.

I can sew a quilt.  Anything other than a quilt?  It gets a little sketchy…

Exhibit A:  Liam’s Halloween costume.  Brownie points to anyone who can figure out what the heck he is.  (And he hated being in it.  Tomorrow should be interesting…)

(Yeah, it’s messy in there.)

The other quilt in the new pattern.  It looks completely different (to me at least!)
