That would be Name This Quilt Pattern.
So the contest is simple, name the pattern and win the pattern.
Simple rules…
1. No names having to do with the fabrics used.
2. No proper names (The Anna Quilt).
3. Silly names are ok.
4. Subtitles are ok (Off Your Rocker/Wacky Log Cabin Quilt).
5. If I like two and combine them into a title/subtitle both submitters will get a pattern.
6. New rule this time! It has to fit on one line on the pattern cover.
Contest will close Tuesday (2/24) around naptime.
This is a portion of the quilt for the cover. I went around and around on how to go about this pattern and how to do the colors and then I decided and got fabrics for the cover and it looks really cool but it photographed horribly so I went back to the original fabrics for the cover.
So that’s that! There will be a a longer delay inbetween the contest closing and the pattern being in the shop (and sent to the winner). I’m no longer printing these myself. I’ve passed on the printing and folding duties to a local print shop. Yay!
Sweet!
(Pic was taken through the window and screen so it’s a little funny looking.)
And don’t worry, there will be fences on both walls. Sean wanted to put a slide in but I ixnayed that idea.
I’m working on a million things… all on the computer though. I haven’t turned on the sewing machine since Saturday. I miss her.
Liam’s love affair with Wall-E didn’t start with the movie. It all started with the talking Wall-E and EVE. They talk constantly… almost as much as Liam and Maeve do.
And then we went to Disney… and came home with all sorts of Wall-E yumminess that Liam “needed.”
And we’ve since gotten more… Crocs, beach towels, cups, jammies, shirts… you name it, we have it. Liam lives and breathes Wall-E.
Since I am a, um, well, quilting dork, I just had to make this… yes, a Wall-E quilt.
(All the pics are a little blurry. This was tonight so it’s very dark.)
“Wall-E!!!!!!”
Done videogame style with pixelated quilting. It’s a pretty lo-res Wall-E since I wanted the quilt to be small enough for him to carry around/move/use/etc.
As much as he loves it, he did not want it to be his covers in bed. He’s a Sleepsack baby and I want to start weaning him off of them so he can move to a bed this spring.
And the standard shot because I can’t finish a quilt and not have one. It’s 43″ x 48″ with blue backing and pieced binding.
