Contest — NTQP No. 010

Comments are now closed.  Thanks everyone for playing!  I’ll announce the winner tomorrow. :-)

——

That would be Name This Quilt Pattern.

So the contest is simple, name the pattern and win the pattern.

Simple rules…

1. No names having to do with the fabrics used.
2. No proper names (The Anna Quilt).
3. Silly names are ok.
4. Subtitles are ok (Off Your Rocker/Wacky Log Cabin Quilt).
5. If I like two and combine them into a title/subtitle both submitters will get a pattern.
6. New rule this time!  It has to fit on one line on the pattern cover. :-)

Contest will close Tuesday (2/24) around naptime.

This is a portion of the quilt for the cover.   I went around and around on how to go about this pattern and how to do the colors and then I decided and got fabrics for the cover and it looks really cool but it photographed horribly so I went back to the original fabrics for the cover.

So that’s that!  There will be a a longer delay inbetween the contest closing and the pattern being in the shop (and sent to the winner).  I’m no longer printing these myself.  I’ve passed on the printing and folding duties to a local print shop.  Yay!

When I was little, I used to always draw the Sun on my pictures the same way: a quarter circle in the upper corner of the page. Seeing you quilt makes me think of that. So I like “Sunshine” or maybe “Sunshine Garden”.

I just love the bright happy fabrics you’ve used in this. Beautiful! :)

How about “Under The Influence”…since it seems to be a take on the good ol’ Drunkards Path? :o )

Piece of Cake. (I live in Germany, can I still enter?)

  19. Tammy’s avatar

I’m with Kim – “Drunkards Path” since this pattern is real close to the one published in McCall’s Quilting-December 2008 issue and a book by Phillips Fiber Art in Fruita, CO has also been published using this pattern.

Just found your blog, very fun. And from my hometown too!

  26. Michele Deedy’s avatar

How about Moon Shadows, or Poppy Fields

  27. Michelle’s avatar

Your quilt reminds me that we need happiness in such trying times — so my suggestion is “Circles of Life”. We will all endure and this too, (bad economic times) will pass.

  28. Stacy’s avatar

    Maybe:
    lollipop shop
spiked punch (play on drunkard’s path)
    Beautiful quilt!!!

    To hip to be square

Circle squared (that’s a math joke)
Circle 2 (the two should look like squared 2 that is small
and elevated) Perhaps this vision is not working)

    Broken circles

    Round-a-bout

    Circles and squares

    Half Squared

    Circle me squared

    Square me circled
