Carolina Patchworks

When life hands you lemonade-flavored juice drinks, make… uh…

Posted on by in Misc

As your usual author is now enjoying frozen custard with her daughter on one of the season’s beautiful first few days, we pirates cannot resist the temptation to continue to share gratuitously with you, our captive audience.

It’s a little-known fact that in Carolina Patchworks’ early days, long before it acquired the laser-like focus on quilts it enjoys today, it experimented with a variety of alternative types of products.  Some (children’s clothing) stuck around longer than others (burp cloths), but a few particularly esoteric efforts have been lost to the winds of time.  Until now, that is.  I believe this unique item speaks for itself, but I would like to draw your attention to the careful hand stitching, environmentally-friendly* reuse of materials, and zen-like simplicity of the entire affair.  Oh, and it’s shiny too.

*In the interests of full disclosure, this piece may have been more environmentally friendly had the juice drinks not been purchased expressly for this purpose.
