This Poor Quilt Needs a Name

Right now it’s just 015.  How boring…

The contest is simple, name the pattern and win the pattern (once I finish up the edits and have it printed – mid-April-ish).

Rules…

1. No names having to do with the fabrics used.
2. No proper names (The Anna Quilt).
3. Silly names are ok.
4. Subtitles are ok (Off Your Rocker/Wacky Log Cabin Quilt).
5. If I like two and combine them into a title/subtitle both submitters will get a pattern.
6. It has to fit on one line on the pattern cover. :-)

Contest will close towards the end of the week (Friday-ish).

Ok, so the picture isn’t the most telling.  You have to use your imagination (or so says Figment!).

Liam is dying to type something.  Take it away Liam!

Shooting for the wacky here….when I first read this post and was scrolling down the page, the picture that I saw in a flash looked like tentacles…so tentacle/octopus/something or other is my suggestion

I just woke up so these probably won’t make sense but:

    Dragonfly high
    And your point is?
    Star fish wish

Hopefully something that makes more sense will come to me later…

My first thought was bird wings, so my name would be…

    Take Flight

This is so pretty! It immediately made me think of being on the tilt-a-whirl at my favorite festival, Strawberry Fest in Pungo (it’s my fav because it’s in May so it kicks off the summer festival season). So, I suggest either “Street Fair” or “Tilt-a-Whirl.”

hmmm it looks so pretty, but all i could think of was a fairground so my entry is
    “at the fairground”

    or as a secondary option

    “pinwheels”

    its pretty anyways :)

OK, I should know how to spell this:

Kaleidoscope – you know those little tubes you put up to your eye filled with colours shapes that shift as you turn the tube in the light?

All right – I looked it up and kaleidoscope is the correct spelling.

I do like Kaleidoscope, but if not how about Meet in the Middle?

Kite In Flight or maybe A Twirl in the Kite. It just reminds me of a spring day of kite flying. I cant wait to see a larger picture full picture.

“In the Breeze” or “Wonky Windmills” – looks like a fun quilt!

A side note/question/comment: I would like to order the scrappy circle pattern, along with the Off your Rocker pattern, but Scrappy Circles is out. 2 Q’s – When can I order? :) … and does it require curved piecing?

  22. emily’s avatar

Dawn, the pattern is back up. Yes it requires curved piecing but I promise it’s easy!

  23. kristine hanson’s avatar

It made me think of stars…but with a twist…so how about “Twisted Stars” :)
