If we can change a holiday and just make them (observed) so we can have a 3 day weekend, why not have an (observed) birthday for a little girl begging for a cupcake party at school? Her birthday falls right in the middle of the break between preschool ending and her Kindy track starting so we surprised her today with cupcakes and a balloon and of course a tiara.

Liam liked his cupcake so much that he ate the paper wrapper too. No, really he did. Sean had to fish it out of his mouth (I was too busy taking a picture of him). He eats the leaves on strawberries too. Yum.

And afterwards, Maeve went back to being the teacher and reading everyone the afternoon book.

Charlie’s birthday always falls during fall break so we do the same. But her class doesn’t allow cupcakes, unfortunately (sob).
Cute pics!

Last year they told us we had to have store bought vegan, soy free, and made in a peanut-free kitchen with guaranteed peanut-free ingredients. Needless to say she didn’t get cupcakes last year.
