  2. Carrie’s avatar

I love these patterns. Definitely want to make one of these. The names come from great song titles too!

  3. Chen’s avatar

Well, they are all song titles form the 70’s and 80’s. Is that good enough? Hmmm, you’ve got me thinking. How do I tie Pink Floyd and Billy Joel into a theme?

    Great patterns!!

  4. barbara’s avatar

Songs, I kept singing them as I was looking at each pattern, not good, Walking on Broken Glass is going to be stuck in my head all day!

Ahh the Uptown girl! I just saw that Fat Quarter Shop has Hushabye earlier than expected, it was all I could do to stop myself from buying a couple charm packs, if I win this, I’m going back and getting them!

  5. yahaira’s avatar

awesome patterns! so many to choose from!
hrmm they’re all songs ranging from the 70’s to the 90’s but I can’t think of a connection between the singers.

Emily, these patterns are great! I love the idea of naming them after songs! I particularly enjoy “Another Brick in the Wall.” That may be one of my favourite patterns you’ve done.

  7. Zarina’s avatar

Pls enter my name for the giveaway. its names of songs and at first I thought it had words rhyming like glass, al, wall but the last one threw my theory apart.

  8. John’s avatar

Looks like I’m too late for the theme giveaway (80’s songs … yay!), but I’m definitely throwing my name in the hat for the random drawing. Thanks!

  9. Emily’s avatar

All songs, as has been said…I keep thinking there’s got to be another common thread, but can’t figure it out for the life of me!

Another Brick in the Wall is definitely my favorite, but they’re all gorgeous.

  13. Nichole’s avatar

  18. Dawn W.’s avatar

Some of your favorite songs, or your husband’s favorite songs?

  19. Jody’s avatar

I love the song titles as names for your new quilts! They’re all so gorgeous and I love your fabric choices as well. I’d have to say my favourite is Another Brick in the Wall…I love blues and oranges together. It really has a modern feel to your quilt…so great! I’d love a chance to win the pattern!!
    Thanks so much!!

  20. Sarah N’s avatar

Your new quilt patterns are fabulous!! I love them all. They are all song titles.

  21. Corbin’s avatar

I’d have to agree with song titles being the theme since I can’t figure out any other way they go together. I think brick in the wall is my favorite… I like simple though.

  22. Viv’s avatar

I think the link is that all the Artist’s who released the song’s were Colombia records! Here’s hoping anyway. LOVE the patterns!!!!

  23. Jenn’s avatar

Looks like I’m a little late for this guessing game…I’d have to say popular songs from the 70s & 80s….can’t think of connection between eurythmics, billy joel, pink floyd and paul simon. Anyway, I really like Uptown Girl…looks like fun to make because there’s quite a variety of little block patterns in it and the color choices you made were so popular!!! I love it!

  24. Mariane C’s avatar

Know I have these songs stuck in my head. I didn’t realize the theme immediately from Pink Floyd but when You can call me Al, Paul Simon immediately jumped into my head with of course Chevy Chase in the horn section!

  25. Jessica Tierney’s avatar

Fun idea, Emily! I love Walking on Broken Glass and love the song title theme. :)

  26. Audrey’s avatar

These are wonderful! I figured out the songs, but I was a little late.:)

The patterns are beautiful and thanks for giving us an opportunity to win one!

  41. Vynidra’s avatar

They are all songtitels. And they are all used as soundtrack for a movie?
My favorite pattern is ‘You can call me Al’. I really like the triangles, although the quilt doesn’t look easy to make.
