Denial
Denial … it’s not just a river in Egypt.
First off, thanks for all the book lovin’. I am so super excited!! I’ll have another book related post later tonight or tomorrow. Stay tuned…
So back to my denial. Liam turned 3 last week. I’m not ready to have a 3-year-old. I keep calling him 2. I like 2. 2 is awesome. But I guess I have to let him grow up. Sniff.
Running around Duke totally wore him out.
When Maeve turned three she was into looking at flowers and taking pictures. Liam just wants to collect rocks and rip bark off of pine trees.
If I had to sum up Liam in a picture, I’d have to pick one of these two…
He is so his father’s child.
In the evening we had cake and presents. I made him a quilt which he is totally in love with — even though he is a 1,000,000% boy he *loves* mamma’s quilts. I can’t show you the quilt because it’s a pattern for an upcoming project (which he fell in love with while I was drawing it) but here is some of his lovely “brown cake” aka chocolate.
As you can see, I take after Bessy and Lightening when it comes to road paving skills (as does the NCDOT -snark-).
I’m going to go cry now.

Happy Belated Birthday Liam, he is a very handsome three year old. He looks so happy and full of adventures. Congrats mum… you did real good.
