More Book Yumminess

Posted on by in Books

Someone commented that I didn’t even leak the exciting news until I had the official ok from C&T.  I actually blogged a bunch of book quilt photos last summer here, here, and here.  I just never said, “Hey these are quilts for the book I’m writing!” 😉

I will have the books up and will sign them if you’d like.  I get totally <blushy> when that topic gets brought up.  The whole fact that I wrote this and all is just completely surreal and hasn’t really sunk in at all.

This is where the quilts are living now.  On the very top shelf of our master closet (and it’s horrible NC building code approved fluorescent lighting — yick!).  All 19 quilts in all their beauteous glory.

While we’re in my closet, let’s have a carefully cropped look around at the 70-ish quilts that currently reside in it (though I might be close to 80 by now). We have these piles…

And this pile…

And these UFOs…

It’s a good thing that neither of us cares that much about clothes because I don’t think there’s any room in the closet for clothing.  Sorry Sean.

Back to the book.  Another look at all the quilts packed up and ready for their journey out to California.

And returning home a couple months ago.  Remember, this is the south.  We don’t do snow here.  The FedEx dude totally did not want to walk down the driveway.  Luckily Sean was out playing in the snow too and rescued the quilts from the top of the driveway.

So after seeing all the quilts do you feel totally inspired?

Such a teaser I know. 😉

With only two people who lived here, me and my boy, I thought the 5 or so quilts we owned was getting to be too many so I started giving some away that I wasn’t particulary attached to. Now that I know you have 70!! I won’t be giving away OUR quilts anymore!!
