Numbers

It all started in late November…

IMG_3432

Box after box arrived from the lovely peeps at Robert Kaufman.

I’d slash open the box, cut up the fabric and sew.

And sew.

And sew.

(and sew)

I wrapped up the sewing a couple weeks ago. Cathy the longarmer did a lot of the quilting (13 of 22 quilts). Kathy the awesome friend helped with the binding.

And in the end we have:

  • 22 quilts
  • 27,914 pieces
  • 279 different cuts of fabrics
  • 92,683 square inches of quilts
  • 5,588 inches of binding

And a very exhausted Emily.

And I learned that I apparently like blue binding. Who knew?

You must sew ALL day! Amazing! I can’t wait to see them.

I want to see the purple bound one. Not a color I use much either, but it sticks out like a sore thumb in your pile. My curiosity is tweaked ;D

  4. Leah says:

Wow! That is lots of sewing.

    Great job!

  5. I’m amazed at how many quilts you can make in such a short time!

Liam is home with me all day and isn’t too keen on Mommy sewing all the time. So it’s nap time, night time and weekends. I’ve just learned to sew really quickly. I said yes and decided to do *way* too many projects this spring.
