And here is the scrap stash as of now. Anything over 1/8 yard(ish) is folded and in the Wall o’ Fabric. These are (just) the buckets of tiny little scraps that most sane people would just throw away.

I’m happy to have a stock room in this house to store them in a not-so-pretty way.

And remember this picture from February 21, 2010?

119.8 pounds of scraps sorted so I could start with the book quilts. I did not buy or otherwise acquire a single piece of fabric for the scrap versions in the book. And look at how much I still have leftover now. Gah!

Wow, that’s a lot of scraps! I believe my entire stash would fit in that purple bucket!

  2. Joanna says:

Love it 🙂 Seriously? You have a person’s worth of scraps! Couldn’t you imagine replacing an annoying person with pretty fabric scraps? How cool would THAT be?!

  3. Sue says:

Our guild makes pillows/beds for the shelter – pillows are stuffed with fabric scraps – you might consider doing this with some you can part with….

  4. Vivian says:

Don’t you love when you can make a quilt from just your scraps?! And a whole book of them, even better. Harkens back to our quilting roots when we do that.

  5. Shasta says:

I use the same size containers for my scraps. I really enjoy making scrap quilts, and it is difficult to throw away even the smallest of pieces.
