Quilt Uber-Fest Day #15: hills & valleys

Posted on by in Misc

Welcome to Quilt Uber-Fest Day #15!

Scott Hansen/Blue Nickel Studios organized this little shin-dig full of Nel Whatmore’s upcoming Free Spirit collection, Sleeping Beauty, and Kaffe Fasset Wovens.

I think I picked the windiest day ever to get pictures (I looked at the weather later in the day and it turns out there was some kind of small boating advisory because of the wind). I was trying to be all clever and take a pictures of ‘hills & valleys’ with the actual hills and valleys of the Olympics in the background.

Take #1: Yeah, that didn’t work.

Take #2: Progress? Not really.

Take #3: Just hold it sideways. Perfect.

I just love this block…I think it is my favorite….these mountains speak to me!:)

On the cutting instructions…the last color…didn’t you mean squares using the first dimension (height) and not the length?:)

Wonderful block Emily! I REALLY LOVE that green you have in your block. Great pics too and they make me wish I lived near the water. SO jealous you are close. Thank you.

Beautiful block and love your post. I think there’s a problem with the measurements on the blocks, though. I think Dolores has it right about the last solid green measurements. I’ll try it and see….
