Roundup

The Booksigning
It went really well. I was really nervous. But people really seemed to like the quilts! (how many times can I say really in one line?) And I of course did not take a single picture. The quilts are still over at The Quilting Loft if you want to visit them.

Pat Sloan’s Radio Extravaganza
You can hear me attempt to complete a sentence here. http://toginet.com/podcasts/creativetalkradio/?s=creativetalkradio. Scroll down to February 28. The giveaway is still going on through Friday. at noon.

Discontinuity
Still out of stock. Should be here by the end of next week. I <3 that quilt.

Maeve
She’s currently sewing a nine-patch quilt. I remember when …

Arthritis
Sucks. I’m having a pity-party-for-myself kind of week. Hopefully I don’t sound too grumpy.

Ice Pellets
We are currently be bombarded by tiny little ice pellets.

Work
Too much to do. I should get back to it…

Oh, the things I sign myself up for!

Seven

Not six.

Not eight.

Seven.

I might post a picture of a quilt one of these days. I spent all day writing and illustrating them. Does that count?

Throwing Stones

Little boys should only throw stones into the Sound. Not at their mothers.

Little boys also love the Sound because there’s always at least 3,203 boats of various sizes going through it at any given time. Here we have a ferry and a totally cool crane. (And still throwing stones…)

People always snark about the weather here. But honestly? It’s not nearly as bad as people make it out to be. It’s been a grey week but last week was amazingly gorgeous. And even on the grey days, the weather is simply fascinating (or maybe I’m just a weather dork).

I really wish I had my real camera yesterday afternoon. Sun on either side and absolutely pouring in the middle. It was totally cool.

Celery

I’ve been working on a slew of new stuff including Spring patterns. I’ve been going through colors and I keep picking Robert Kaufman’s Kona Celery.

celery

It’s a great color … except for now the Celery song is stuck in my head.

“Look at me I’m celery –  I’m tall and green and crunchy — Chop me up in soup or with dip I’m a scoop — Hey world I’m cele-ree-hee!”

Sigh.

Back to picking colors.

14 new patterns coming soon to a Market booth near you…
