No. 002 — Modern Rose Garden
Inspired in part by the art of Dutch painter Piet Mondrian, the Modern Rose Garden quilt begins with simple rectangles and composes them into an eye-catching formal garden of interlocking lines. It can be brought alive with nearly any fabric line – and, if you’re willing to fussy cut, can beautifully highlight any designs they feature, large or small. You can use whatever fabric catches your fancy, whether modern or traditional – or you can just use scraps you’ve collected from previous quilts! Finished quilt measures 62″ x 62″.

No. 004 — Off Your Rocker
One glance and you’ll see that this traditional log cabin quilt isn’t quite … right. Perhaps it’s been built on shaky ground, or perhaps it’s spiraling up from a looney animated world into our own, but either way, this new spin on an old favorite is a lot of fun! Just choose twenty different fat quarters — be they bold and modern, subdued and traditional, or with a wacky personality of their own — slice and dice them a bit, and create one of the curviest quilts you can make while sewing only straight lines! Finished quilt measures 53″ x 66″.

No. 005 — Ordered Chaos
This quilt is a study in coherent chaos and balanced scrappiness. Its long lines and almost spiral arrangement draw the eye through a mixture of fine detail and large spans of prints. This makes it perfect as a showcase for your favourite prints, be they abstract or traditional, as it can show off those tiny details and also highlight large prints and panels like paintings in a gallery. Using straight lines and rectangular pieces, this quilt is straightforward to assemble, but the result looks anything but simple! Finished quilt measures 50″ x 60″.

No. 007 — {mini} Modern Rose Garden

Make whichever one suits your fancy, or all three for a themed look.
Finished quilts measure:
crib: 56″ x 42″
baby 42″x 32″
doll: 18″ x 22″

No. 008 — Rings of Diamonds
This quilt starts from the most basic of building blocks: triangles. Four different triangles, laid out in an orderly manner, form a simple, dignified pattern from which emerges a menagerie of interlocking geometric shapes — diamonds, starbursts, chains of rings. Concentrating on rich colors and textures, you can choose to use subdued and elegant florals, bold and bright modern prints, or anything in between. tying this quilt to your decor and style. This pattern’s basic shapes will pull your chosen prints together in an elegant fusion of classical quilts and the inevitability of mathematics.Finished quilt measures 60 inches (152 cm) square.

No. 060 — Pomaceous
You’ve seen this somewhere, you’re sure of it. Perhaps a Fifties-era kitchen backsplash? Or the lobby to an ornate hotel at the height of the roaring Twenties? Good thing squares are timeless — and an even better that this iteration of a classic tile pattern is surprisingly easy to assemble. (I see the pattern every morning on our fifties-era shower floor. What about you?)
Includes directions for making five sizes:
Crib – 45″ x 54″
Throw – 63″ x 72″ (pictured)

No. 061 — Circular Reasoning
In what scientists are calling a “freak anomaly”, the Typography 101 quilt pattern has drifted too close to a singularity’s gravity well and has been distorted by the resulting vortex. The result is believed to be stable, but we recommend extreme caution while assembling this one.
Finished Dimensions: 75″ x 75″
Pattern includes full-sized diagrams.

No. 063 — Groove
The Sixties gave us a very unique view of the world, the result of a cultural revolution, accelerating rate of technological change, and — to be honest — likely a bit of acid. If you want to experience a bit of that trippiness for yourself, may we recommend this quilt as a relatively safe form of mind-altering substance?

No. 064 — Quilt-O-Matic
Introducing Stitched by Carolina Patchworks (think of it as a micro imprint!). While the focus of the company remains quilts, it’s hard to resist a project like this occasionally.
The environment in which one creates inevitably has a subtle impact on the creation. When one is a quilt designer and one lives in a mid-1950s ranch … well, can you spot the influence this may have had on this embroidery and mini quilt project?
Finished Dimensions: 15-1/2″ x 15-3/4″
Pattern assumes basic embroidery knowledge. Includes full sized templates.
