Baseball in Zebulon

Posted on by in Kids

This is a post to see how many times I can say Zebulon because it has to be the coolest name for a town.  Seriously… Zebulon!  I really have no idea what else is in Zebulon besides a AA Minor League baseball team but, again, they have a pretty cool town name so who needs anything else.

The kiddos had never been to anything like this so it was fun to see their reaction to it all.  Yesterday was their last game of the season and it wasn’t too humid.  Maeve got a new purple Carolina Mudcats hat and was very proud of it.  She has a bat and t-ball set and somewhat gets the concept of how the game works but I don’t think she got the game the guys were playing at all.

Liam tried to grab the camera when I was taking his picture.  He didn’t really watch the game at all.  He just enjoyed sitting in our laps all afternoon.

Maeve wanted to sit next to Liam.  Liam wanted to take a nap (the game was at 2 which is right in the middle of dream time).

So that was our Labor Day (in Zebulon!).  Maybe we’ll try hockey next…
